Ministry Experience & Statement of Faith

For the last 15 years The Lord has allowed me to serve him through many forms of Evangelism. He has allowed me to preach his word in churches, youth events, jail and prison ministry as well as in the nursing homes. I have also had the honor of doing school assemblies and sharing my life story to speak hope to the next generation. The Lord has allowed me to travel internationally as well. I have shared his word in Russia and just recently in Belarus. He has opened doors I could have never imagined! I tell everyone he turned my mess into HIS message. The Lord called me to full time ministry in 2017 in which he started God Strong Ministries. God has opened many new doors to include preaching multi day revivals. I will continue to go wherever The Lord leads me and preach his word boldly and uncompromised , while sharing his great love!

Our Statement of Faith

1. The Bible:

We believe the Bible to be the only source of truth and that it is completely without error in its’ original autographs. It is a God breathed book and it is the Word of God. It was written by men who were inspired by The Holy Spirit. The Bible is the final authority for all things pertaining to the Christian faith and life. And it will stand for all eternity. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

2. The Godhead ( Trinity):

We believe that God is made up of three persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three are One. All three are worthy of our praise and worship together as one God who created and sustains the universe. They three have coexisted from eternity past and will exist throughout eternity. (Deut. 6:4Matt. 28:19John 1:14John 10:302 Cor. 13:14, 1 John 5:7).

3. God The Father:

We believe that God The Father is the first person of the trinity. He is eternal from everlasting to everlasting and is Holy, loving, and all knowing. We believe He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and the father of all who are born again believers.(Gen. 1:1Eph. 4:6John 1:12-13John 5:19-21John 17:1-5Isa. 40:21-28Isa. 43:10-13Isa. 46:8-11Rom. 8:14-16).

4. Jesus Christ ( The Son):

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of Almighty God. We believe that he is the second person of the trinity. That God revealed himself through his Son and He is the only Savior of the world. He was born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life. He knew no sin but became sin for us. Through His substitutionary death He offers us redemption through his shed blood on the cross. We believe that through his death, burial and resurrection from the dead, that He defeated death, hell, and the grave, and by His finished work atonement for sin was paid. We believe that after His resurrection, He ascended to Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He will come again in the air and rapture His bride (The Church) from the earth and that he will come again in bodily form and for all to see to conclude human history by executing righteous judgement. He will set up his Millennial Kingdom on earth for a thousand years to be followed by the eternal Kingdom over which He will preside. (John 1:1,14,18; John 3:16Luke 1:30-35Phil. 2:5-8;Col. 2:3,9Mark 10:45Acts 2:22-24John 1:29Rom. 3:25-26Heb. 10:5-14; 1 Pet. 2:24, 1 Pet. 3:18; John 20:20Phil. 3:20-21Heb. 1:3Rom. 8:341 John 2:1Acts 1:11Heb. 9:28; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 2 Thes. 2:7; Matt. 24:44Rev. 19:11-21; Rev. 21-22).

5. The Holy Spirit:

We believe The Holy Spirit to be the third person of The Godhead. He came into the world on the day of Pentecost. The Holy spirit was given by God for the purpose of making Jesus known and to convict men of their sins and need for a Savior. He indwells or fills, every born again believer. He commits the ministry of regeneration, sanctification, revelation of truth, and for correction of the believer. We believe that one comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the conviction of sin by The Holy Spirit. We believe that once a person is saved that they are sealed by The Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We believe that spiritual gifts are given by the Spirit to each believer for the Glorifying of God and for the working of his purposes through the Church. The Holy Spirit indwells us to empower us for obedience to all of God’s commands. (1 Cor. 13:8, 1 Cor. 14:22John 16:7-81 Cor. 6:19, 1 Cor. 12:13Eph. 1:13-14Eph. 4:30Gal. 5:16-17, Gal. 22-23; Rom. 8:5-13; 1 Pet. 4:10-11; Rom. 12:3-8).

6. Satan:

We believe that Satan is a fallen angel and a real being. We believe that Satan is the source of all evil and that he is the father of lies. We believe that Satan was once an angel in Heaven known as Lucifer and that evil was found in him as he wanted to exalt himself above God. That iniquity was found in him. He was cast out of Heaven and took a third of the angels with him. We believe that in the garden of Eden that Satan deceived Adam and Eve into rebelling against God therefore transferring their authority over to Satan and creating the fall of man. We believe that Satan was defeated at the cross of Calvary and that after the Millennial reign of Christ he will receive his eternal punishment by being cast into the lake of fire. Satan is a deceiver who according to the word of God comes for one thing..To Steal , To Kill and to Destroy! (Gen. 3:1-5Isa. 14:12-17Ezek. 28:11-19; Job 1-2; 1 John 5:192 Cor. 11:141 Tim. 3:6; 1 Pet. 5:8-9; James 4:7Rev. 12:9Rev. 20:1-3, Rev. 7-10).

7. Salvation:

We believe that salvation is found in no other name than Jesus Christ. Jesus said that no man comes to the father but by Him and Him alone. We believe that Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin in our place on the cross. We believe that Salvation happens when men are drawn by the Holy Spirit to confess that they are a sinner and that their sin has separated them from a Holy God. It is by turning to God in genuine faith (having remorse and turning from their sin) as they place their faith in the in the substitutionary work of Christ on the cross, through grace alone, not of works, one is truly saved. (Eph. 1:7:13-14; John 1:12-13John 3:1-7, John 14-16; 2 Cor. 5:17;Rom. 1:16Rom. 10:9-10Eph. 2:8-10Rom. 8:14-17, Rom. 31-39; John 10:27-29,Rom. 14:6Acts 26:20; 1 Pet. 1:3-5)

What People are saying about Evangelist Kevin Clapp

“The first time I met Kevin Clapp and heard him speak, I knew he was the real deal. He preached the truth of God's word with clarity and boldness, shared his powerful testimony, and gave the students an opportunity to respond to the gospel. I have been blessed to be able to call Kevin my friend and bring him back to speak to my students every year since 2010. I highly recommend him to speak to any group - the message of the cross will be proclaimed!” Rev. J. Robert Murphey, Minister of Youth - Oak View Baptist Church

" As founder of Forgiven Ministry prison ministry I know it is  important that we bring the best in Christian presenters to the inmates and their families that we serve.  There are many times that we will only have a one-time opportunity to share Christ, His Love and His hope with those in prison.  A few years ago I was blessed to meet Kevin Clapp as he shared his testimony of a changed life.  God used Kevin in powerful way to reach many souls for Christ.  Kevin’s testimony is anointed and is evidence that God is a God of second changes. "    Scottie Barnes, Founder of Forgiven Ministries
